Cupcakes

We know its almost spring break and were supposed to be dieting and getting super skinny, but whatever, fuck it.  When you get a craving for cupcakes there’s no getting rid of it until its satisfied. So, to celebrate the beginning of March we are indulging just a little. And lets face it, nowhere has better cupcakes than NYC.
Georgetown: Ok so they’re not originally from the city, but they are TO DIE FOR. Seriously, thank god they opened up a store in Soho because we just can’t get enough.  The red velvet with cream cheese frosting is literally heaven. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

Crumbs: Crumbs is a little too conveniently located…it’s an issue. Not only do they have a full store on 8th and University (and a million other places), but they also carry them in Weinstein (meal swipes + cupcakes = path to obesity). Crumbs is probably the most creative cupcake place we’ve ever heard of. If you can mix our favorite candy, icing and cake batter into one cupcake you get a gold star in our book.

Magnolias: People honestly travel from all over for these delicious cupcakes. It’s uptown so it would be kind of a trek, but if you’re ever in the neighborhood you MUST get one. They look like you literally just baked them in your kitchen (except for the fact that we cant cook whatsoever). But that homemade feel is a refreshing and delicious difference from the perfectly crafted designer cupcakes.

Tu-Lu’s: Simply because we feel obligated, this is the one relatively healthy bakery in the east village. Aka its gluten free. So if all of the above places are (god forbid) making you gain weight, this is another delicious, somewhat guilt free alternative.
